What the settings do

These values come from our guided editors. Defaults are the editor starting values; they do not show the contents of a customer server.

Pause world when empty

Time, seasons and world state stop progressing while no players are connected.

Setting: pause_when_empty
Default: true

Server intention

Classifies the play style in the public server browser.

Setting: cluster_intention
Default: social
Range / options: cooperative, social, competitive, madness

Automatic saving

Enable Klei's built-in automatic world saving.

Setting: autosaver_enabled
Default: true

Vote kick

Players may vote to remove another player.

Setting: enable_vote_kick
Default: false

Server console

Allows Lua commands in the server console. This does not toggle the in-game console.

Setting: console_enabled
Default: true

Maximum players

Maximum concurrent players. Your plan determines this value.

Setting: MAX_PLAYERS
Default: 16
Range / options: 1 – 31
When it takes effect: Takes effect after saving and restarting the server.

Auto-update server

This is to enable auto-updating for servers. Default is 0. Set to 1 to update

Setting: AUTO_UPDATE
Default: 1
When it takes effect: Takes effect after saving and restarting the server.

Game mode

Sets the base game mode at launch or when a new world is created.

Setting: GAME_MODE
Default: survival
Range / options: survival, endless, wilderness
When it takes effect: Takes effect after saving and restarting the server.

Server list name

Players find your cluster under this name in the game server browser.

Setting: CLUSTER_NAME
Default: A Panel hosted Server
When it takes effect: Takes effect after saving and restarting the server.

Server list description

Additional text about your cluster in the game server browser.

Setting: CLUSTER_DESC
Default: A Pterodactyl Hosted Server
When it takes effect: Takes effect after saving and restarting the server.

Allow PvP

Allows direct combat and damage between players.

Setting: PVP
Default: false
Range / options: true, false
