Which platform sits behind them depends on the game and available capacity - we don't promise identical hardware for every product.
Every mcfreehost server is covered by automatic network-level DDoS protection from the data center at no extra cost. Servers on OVH game hardware also run behind the OVH game firewall, and for those the dashboard shows the current protection status. We keep an eye on operations continuously and follow up on anything unusual.
The mcfreehost panel lets you trigger a manual backup any time, and where available, turn on a schedule for automatic ones - it isn't switched on for every server by default. Your plan and dashboard show how many backups you get.
