Ready-to-launch Minecraft server
Cursed Walking is zombie survival with no detours: find supplies, collect weapons, fortify your base and survive the next night. We provide the pack with 8 GB RAM on a paid server.

The server pack is installed from CurseForge project 682001 on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.0. On July 29, 2026, we verified it in the first full test: installation, start and join were done after 393 seconds. Since then, Cursed Walking has been one of the packs that our automated test series regularly sets up anew.
What separates Cursed Walking from DeceasedCraft is the focus. Here, no research tree stands between you and your next weapon; progress means better gear, more supplies and thicker walls. That makes the pack accessible for groups in which not everyone has played big modpacks before.
On October 6, 2026, we measured Cursed Walking v3.3 on our own test server. With 219 mods and just over 1 GB on disk, the first start including world generation took 203 seconds, a restart 90 seconds. With no players, the server used 2.9 GiB after the first start and 2.1 GiB of 8 GB five minutes after the restart. We did not measure how memory and tick rate behave during a horde night with several players; if your base grows and many zombies are roaming at once, the next RAM tier is the safe choice.
Practical for everyday use: create a backup in the panel before every major change, for example before you install a new pack version or add your own mods. Otherwise, a zombie world that no longer starts after a botched update is lost along with your fortress.

With no players, Cursed Walking used between 2.1 and 2.9 GiB on our test server on October 6, 2026, which is just over a third of 8 GB. The rest is reserve for players, new chunks and hordes; we did not measure under player load. Whether your group needs more is shown by the memory display in the panel during a full horde night. If it stays close to the limit permanently, the next tier is due.

No long tech tree: weapons, ammunition and building materials determine how well prepared you are.
When the hordes come, many creatures are active at the same time. That is exactly when the server needs its reserves.
With 8 GB, Cursed Walking is far above the free plan and therefore only runs on a paid server.
A successful installation, startup or join test applies only to the tested version and does not demonstrate stable operation under every player load.

No. Even the empty test server used over 2 GiB, more than the free server has in total with its 2 GB; for Cursed Walking, we recommend 8 GB. You therefore order a paid server; the cost of the chosen RAM tier is shown in the configurator before you pay.
If you want to explore a modern big city with vehicles and a tech tree, pick DeceasedCraft. If you'd rather fight for survival directly without research and fend off hordes, Cursed Walking is the better fit. Both run on Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1.
