Ready-to-launch Minecraft server
Craft to Exile 2 turns Minecraft into a loot RPG modeled on Path of Exile, with a skill tree, classes and a map endgame. With us, the pack starts with 8 GB RAM on the paid plan, and we openly show how much of that an empty server already uses.

On October 6, 2026, we installed Craft to Exile 2 version 2.1.4 with Forge 47.4.23 on our own test server: 332 mods, about 840 MB on disk, 6 minutes and 35 seconds from setup to a finished world. With no players, the server showed 5.8 GiB of used memory after the first start and 7.0 GiB five minutes after a restart, with 8 GB allocated. In an earlier test run on August 12, 2026, the peak at times reached about 9.2 GB.
Our recommendation: start with 8 GB while you play the first chapters of the campaign, and choose a larger RAM tier in the panel as soon as you reach the map endgame or more people join. The pack does not need to be reinstalled for this.
The heart of the pack is the Mine and Slash mod. It replaces armor and damage values with attributes, affixes and rarity tiers; the talent tree and ascendancy classes determine how your character develops. A quest book with a campaign guides you through the first hours, and later, maps raise the difficulty step by step.
On a shared server, this plays like a small party in an online RPG: each character is built differently, loot is shared out, and you run tough maps together. Create a backup in the panel before major pack updates, because new versions of RPG packs often change items and values.

Craft to Exile 2 ships with its own Java startup options, including AlwaysPreTouch: memory that Java reserves is claimed immediately and shows up in the panel as used. On our test server on October 6, 2026, the display showed 7.0 GiB with no players, while about 2.7 GiB of the Java heap was actually in use. A high value shortly after startup is therefore not a memory leak. In August, the peak of a test run was about 9.2 GB, which is above the booked tier; the container limit leaves some headroom, but you should not rely on it. We have no measurement with real players; for several people in the endgame, we recommend more than 8 GB.
We download the developers' current server pack from CurseForge, including the matching Forge version for Minecraft 1.20.1.
Version 2.1.4 on October 6, 2026: The first start with world generation took 210 seconds until "Done", a restart 147 seconds.
The pack makes Java claim reserved memory immediately. Of the 7.0 GiB shown in the display, Java actually used about 2.7 GiB at idle.
Mine and Slash brings a large talent tree and ascendancy classes that define your role in the group.
A successful installation, startup or join test applies only to the tested version and does not demonstrate stable operation under every player load.

Yes. The wizard preselects the matching loader; modpack pages also load only the verified featured pack.
Yes. Always check compatibility and create a backup before changing versions.
No. Even with no players, the server showed 7 GiB of used memory in our tests, while the free server has 2 GB. Craft to Exile 2 is only available as a paid server starting at 8 GB. The configurator shows you the price for each RAM tier.
Building and mining remain, but combat and progression follow the rules of an action RPG: loot with random properties, skills instead of simple sword swings, and maps as the endgame. If you're looking for classic survival, you're better served by a different pack.
Minecraft Java Edition and Craft to Exile 2 in the server's version, for example via the CurseForge app. Because Mine and Slash brings many menus of its own, only a client with the complete pack can join the server; Bedrock devices are left out.
On our test server on October 6, 2026, it took 6 minutes and 35 seconds from setup to a finished world; the entire test run including the connection check took just over 8 minutes. How long your order takes depends mainly on the download of the 332 mods.
